BB/F FULL DOUBLE HORN
MODEL 3
CHARACTERISTICS:
THE SOUND IS VERY FLEXIBLE, FROM ‘CLEAR AND TRANSPARENT’ IN PIANISSIMO TO ‘BIG AND VOLUMINOUS’ IN FORTISSIMO.
IT GIVES YOU A WIDE SPECTRUM OF POSSIBILITIES.
Musicians value Klaus Fehr double horns for their secure intonation, comfort in the high register, and great flexibility.
Their projection is excellent, even in pianissimo. The wide range of overtones in their sound blends very well, even with horns of a different maker.
“The Fehr horn blends well, never getting aggressive, and the high register remains stable and warm, mixing easily with the woodwinds or even solo violin. For me this is the big plus when compared to the horn I’d played for many years previously. The Fehr horn sound carries through a full orchestra fortissimo, but delicate playing is also heard very clearly in the hall. The most telling comment I received was that it sounds so easy to play.”
